Stop Pretending To Care About Jewish Rights Because You Like Western Imperialism

Hey, American “conservatives”,

You know you’re not actually fooling anyone with this whole “defending Palestine is anti-Semitism” bit, right?

If you’re spouting that line, you should know that no one outside of your star-spangled fascist death cult believes you genuinely care about what happened to the millions of Jews who were killed during the Holocaust (or that half of you aren’t just flat-out Holocaust deniers, anyway).

No one believes you sincerely care about people who were killed under authoritarian “Communist” regimes, either. It’s just whataboutism that helps you ignore your innumerable parallels to Nazis.

No one believes that you oppose genocide in general when you’ve spent the past 20 years banging the war drums over the bloodshed of hundreds of thousands of civilians in the Middle East and Central Asia.

I mean, come on. Most of you don’t even care that millions of people have been killed worldwide by COVID-19. After all, why care about anything, when you can just say everybody is lying? It’s easy to achieve psychopathic levels of indifference and hypocrisy when you can just pick and choose which realities to believe in, which happens to be your specialty.

Look, everyone with a shred of a clue is beyond tired of this logically fallacious crap from you, to the point that most of us aren’t even bothering anymore. I’m giving you more energy than I usually do these days by even typing this. But this is so laughably transparent that I felt like I had to say something. You’ve latched onto accusing anyone who thinks Palestinian civilians are human beings of “being anti-Semitic” or “hating Jews” because it’s yet another convenient way for you to skirt around your own blatant bigotry and defend ultra-nationalist imperialism. The US funds Israel, you think Israel is Jesustown, USA and he’ll come back when Babel is built and usher you off to paradise and forgive you for spending the majority of your lives being selfish, self-righteous, willfully ignorant, vindictive, backstabbing traitors behind cookie-cutter smiles. That’s all this is about. It’s not about your love for the Jewish people. Give me a fucking break. As usual, it’s about your religious delusions of grandeur.

You’d kill millions of your enemies in the blink of an eye if given the opportunity, you have an until-recently unprecedented reputation for your hatred of Muslims, and you have the nerve to pretend to be allies of religious minorities? In the five-some years that I’ve been in vocal opposition to your goose-stepping, flag-humping nonsense, I haven’t once gotten a single one of you to agree to the very simple sentiment, “genocide is bad.” I haven’t once gotten you to agree that poor people deserve to live, either. Because you don’t definitively believe those things. Terms and conditions apply.

So please. Knock off this charade. Just go full mask-off like you have with everything else.

I see you. We all see you. And we know you don’t care.

But seriously. At the very least, cut the shit. Frankly, it’s insulting at this point, that you think we’re all so fucking gullible.

Oh. Another One? In America? You Don’t Say.

You can always tell the mass shootings are never going to end when you read the comments sections on these news stories and see more “conservatives” whose only emotions are anger and hate, screaming at everybody about how everything is communism and mocking people’s grief.

Throw a rock and you’ll hit the next terminally online mass murderer. Odds are, they’re logged on right now.

They’re your neighbors. Your acquaintances. Your co-workers. The ones you assume are just being dramatic when they go off about immigrants or vaccines or China.

And they’re not going to stop.

Because this country is in a slow and steady burn toward total collapse. Decades of fervent belief in American exceptionalism, an onslaught of disinformation on the internet, an outrage-industrial complex in the form of mass media, a government that does practically nothing but hoard wealth, and a culture that teaches a certain demographic of men to respond to everything with aggression and violence are all to blame.

Oh, and the ocean of guns, of course; most of which seem to be getting acquired by those most ideologically prone to committing mass shootings in the first place. But I’ll believe anything is ever going to get done about that when I see it, given 1/2 of our government immediately starts screaming about the 1st amendment the second this happens while the other acts like their hands are tied constantly, and only a divided minority of liberals, leftists and so-called “libertarians” seem to realize we’re probably past the point of a pacifist solution. Is now the time to be letting the mass shooters and militarized police who buy them Burger King in between killing black preteens for no reason have all the guns? Seems as crazy to me as the notion of un-inventing them. Or the notion that the “good guys with guns” are right-wingers.

Meanwhile, you can’t even go to the grocery store anymore without worrying if your brains are going to get splattered all over the produce aisle. Our students have active shooter drills with cops firing blanks to get them used to the sound of real gunfire. And people have just adjusted to it all like it’s normal. Because what else can we do, right?

It’s not normal. It’s not OK. This place is sick.

I never wanted to be a firearm owner like I am now, but this is a war-torn country and it seems like all that’s left to do is look out for ourselves, because no one else will. And isn’t that what America’s all about? “Rugged individualism?” Yeah. It’s great, being so “free.” Free to be isolated and afraid. Free to get killed while standing in line for a vaccine you waited a year for by some maniac who thinks it has a microchip in it or something. Free to wade endlessly through this sea of rabid bullet hoses whose brains have been turned to mush by the internet, a lack of easy access to mental health care, and the so-called “places of worship” where they go to get reassured that their bloodlust is somehow righteous. If this is “freedom,” I’ll trade it for a state that actually does something about its problems, thanks. The American experiment is failing, and these massacres we’ve become so accustomed to are its death rattles.

But thank God we have the “nothing will fundamentally change and the cages are nicer now, we promise” Biden administration to throw pocket change at us and talk about how bad pot is.

To their credit, it’s becoming easier to get the vaccine, and we aren’t being subjected to 15 tweets a day about the pandemic being a hoax (a sentence I only had to type because the bar has been dragged down into the Mariana Trench). Just try not to get shot by some anti-vaxxer and/or religious nut who was able to buy an AR-15 despite posting murder porn on Facebook every day or talking about hearing voices in their heads to their friends and family or whatever else while you get it. And then maybe, just maybe, you’ll survive long enough to pay your next bill before the next guy snaps, and the cycle starts all over again.

Hey, Brunchocrats: We’re Still F****d

COVID-19 is a test run for the climate crisis and so far the USA is still failing with flying red, white & blue as everyone gives up on social distancing, red states lift mask mandates, and approximately 40% of Americans think two little shots are a microchipping conspiracy while they walk around with surveillance devices on them at all times.

This is what happens when you “freedom” so hard that you decide you don’t need to science for decades. When faced with challenges that don’t involve bullying, waving rifles around while screaming “MAH CONSTITUTION” or occupying and drone striking underdeveloped nations, we fold completely.

For a whole year, I’ve watched reactionaries scream about having to put fabric on their faces and not getting to dine-in at Denny’s, and then pat themselves on the back for their own mythical toughness. I’ve watched millions plunge into poverty while the magic stonk line soared from bailouts that could’ve literally ended hunger and homelessness. And I’ve watched nearly everyone except leftists blame socialism when it’s literally late-stage capitalism that is at fault, here.

I’m glad the vaccine is supposedly coming ahead of schedule now but basically everything else was done wrong. I am not even remotely optimistic about what the future has in store, and if you don’t get it, then you simply do not understand climate change and the danger it poses to every country on Earth, on every level, especially this one, and others that refuse to acknowledge its existence.

Short of a massive revolution that I doubt is going to happen any time soon when everyone keeps grabbing low-hanging fruit and yelling at each other over things like the gender of a plastic potato or Lola Bunny’s rack instead of unifying against the ruling class, we need to get every reactionary (blue and red) out of office and get people who respect science and demand social reform in before it’s too late (it probably already is, and our hand will be forced on revolution eventually, but it would happen sooner if the white whale of class solidarity prevailed, which it probably won’t… probably). This servile “moderate” crap is not working. Far-right misinformation is overthrowing the internet, and the draconian “radical centrism” of the social media companies is enabling it. Their numbers are growing. Fascism as a concept is being normalized worldwide at the worst possible time. Everything we are doing (and not doing) is setting us up for dystopian levels of disaster. What is happening in Myanmar (partly facilitated by Facebook over the course of several years) could easily happen here. Anyone who believes in an impending so-called “communist” takeover and not the very real looming threat of a fascist one believes in fairy tales.

But hey, at least we have Biden and two checks totaling $2000, amirite, Jack? This is fine. Surely everything is going to get better, rather than progressively worse, because reasons. Sorry for being “toxic” or a “Debbie Downer” or whatever. Now let’s all get back to pretending we’re OK to “save face” and not “make waves” in this super-duper “free” country we live in, where we’re all angry at and terrified of each other.

Acclaimed Professor Warns about Cancel Culture: “It’s a Slippery Slope”

Now that I’ve gotten your attention…

None of Dr. Seuss’ popular books are being removed, just six obscure ones you probably didn’t even know about before all this hullabaloo. His estate is choosing to pull them from stores and there’s nothing you can do about it. That’s called private enterprise.

Lola Bunny is a cartoon rabbit. Space Jam 2 is going to be terrible whether or not she’s well-endowed. They’re making a sequel nobody asked for because they know you’ll complain about it but ultimately probably still buy a ticket or rent it. The studio wants your money. For all you know, they did it just to get you talking.

Potato Head is a plastic potato with interchangeable body parts.

These are fictional characters and inanimate objects. They should not be making headlines. No one is imposing their will on anyone. These are choices being willingly made by people in positions to make them.

Please stop obsessing about things that don’t matter and feeding an outrage-industrial complex that thrives on your propensity for giving them attention by getting worked up over nothing.

You’re supposed to be adults.

So here’s something worth worrying about: anywhere between 1 in 5 and 1 in 7 American children is going hungry. No Kid Hungry is an acclaimed charity seeking to end this problem. With a tax-deductible donation, you can help put an end to child hunger.

Newsflash, A******s: You’re Cancel Culture

In 2003, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks spoke out against the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Within a week, the band’s hit single “Landslide” fell out of the Billboard charts as the Dixie Chicks were blacklisted by thousands of Country Music radio stations. WTDR-FM in Talladega, Alabama received over 250 calls in a single day from listeners demanding the station stop playing their music. Metal detectors had to be introduced at concerts due to credible threats of violence, and ‘round-the-clock security details were hired to protect the band members from ‘Murica’s biggest fans.

In the 49ers third preseason game of the 2016 season, Colin Kaepernick sat out the National Anthem in protest of the police shootings of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Freddie Gray, Charles Kinsey and countless others. In a postgame interview, Kaepernick stated, “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.” After nearly a year of being an unsigned free agent, Kaepernick filed a grievance against the NFL, accusing them of colluding to keep him out of the league. Five years later, he remains a free agent, “taking a knee” has become synonymous with protesting racism and police brutality, and millions of obscenely racist memes continue to be circulated among permanently offended football fans.

In 2017, four companies—including the makers of the Keurig coffee machine—announced they would no longer be advertising on Sean Hannity’s show. Instantaneously, “#BoycottKeurig” started trending on Twitter, and loyal Fox News viewers took to Instagram, filming themselves destroying their own Keurigs in protest.

On January 13th of 2019, razorblade maker Gillette released a commercial suggesting sexual harassment, sexual assault and bullying are bad, and that men should hold each other accountable. The video has 1.9 million dislikes on YouTube to 826k likes, and the comments section has since been disabled. By July 30th, parent company Procter & Gamble had written down the value of Gillette by $8 billion, resulting in a net loss of $5.24 billion. Executives attributed the losses to competition; reactionaries took credit as “#BoycottGillette” became a top trend on Twitter. Half-hearted virtue-signaling on the part of exploitative mega-corporations aside, the commercial itself was relatively benign. But the outrage it inspired was enough to rip a hole in the spacetime continuum.

In June of 2020, NASCAR instituted a sweeping ban of confederate flags at their events, prompting widespread calls from disgruntled “car go vroom in circle” fans for a boycott of NASCAR. “#BoycottNASCAR” became a top trend on Twitter as countless “lovers of heritage” shrieked into the ether in lamentation of the restrictions being placed on their precious, treacherous, racist flag.

Apple. Nike. Budweiser. Disney. The list goes on and on.

It seems every day there is a new spark that ignites the ire of “conservatives” who feel oppressed by casual messages about empathy and inclusion that they could just as easily ignore, inspiring calls for boycotts and blood to the tone of deafening screams all over social media. If only it were ever about anything that actually matters, like the threat of climate catastrophe at the hands of these multinational conglomerates that are far more concerned with their annual profits than the ultimate survival of the human race. But no. It’s always about something like Oreo Cookies tweeting about trans rights, or the genitalia of a fucking plastic potato.

And THESE are the people who are afraid of “cancel culture?” The people whose ideologies align most with those responsible for the overwhelming majority of domestic terrorism in the United States? The people who think you deserve to have your LIFE canceled if you don’t like this miserable ass country?

The “cancel culture” crowd have been conspiring for at least the past 20 years to cancel anyone who dares criticize the United States, its fervent nationalism, its imperialist foreign policy, its simmering racist underbelly that’s boiling over, its wanton ignorance, its proud science denial. They’ll cry about “free speech” while they conspire in Discord chatrooms and Facebook groups to doxx and deplatform anyone they disagree with on such hot-button issues as whether or not poor people deserve to live. They’ll rant about “Constitutional rights” while they fantasize about murdering everyone to the left of Rand Paul, or outright plot to do so. And they’ll evangelize about how private companies can do whatever they want, except fire them.

Because for the American reactionary, it has always been and will always be about “freedom for me, not for thee.”

This is just their latest projection; their latest gaslight; their latest excuse not to look in a fucking mirror.
